Yesterday, the VV was in Goldsboro Books in London's Cecil Court, (a wonderful Victorian pedestrianised street full of specialist book and print sellers) to sign and line copies of her book.
It now seems that every one of those books had already been sold, though to date there are still 2 pre-publication proof copies remaining.
So, today, to say a big thank you to all of her followers featured in the right hand bar of this blog, the VV has decided to give away a 'signed, lined and dated' first edition of her novel, The Somnambulist.
Please leave a comment below by 6pm on Sunday June 12.
This offer is NOT restricted to those followers in the UK - that simply wouldn't seem fair!
The draw has now been made and the first name out of the hat was... Ta da!...Kelly Marie
Kelly, please email me at virtualvictorian@gmail.com along with whatever dedication you would like and I will send the book out some time this coming week.

I would love a chance to win this! I have been lurking for a while - congratulations on publishing The Somnambulist and garnering such rave reviews!
ReplyDeleteYes please! I am so excited to read this book especially because it features the lovely Wiltons music hall ( so pleased to see Boris is backing them). x
ReplyDeleteOoh, please count me in for the drawing! I am in the US, and have been haunting Book Depository since the release date, hoping they would get copies in. No such luck yet. I may just break down and order off the Amazon UK site and swallow the shipping costs.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have this book -- in case I don't win, is it available in the US?
ReplyDeleteNo - I'm sorry - I am hopeful, but to date the book is not available in the US, though it has sold into Sweden and Italy.
ReplyDeleteIt would be greedy of me to want to win this as I already have a beautifully signed copy (although I am greedy!). But can I ask what "lining" is?
ReplyDeleteHello Clare...'Lining' is when you write the first line - or some other line - from the novel as well as your name and the date.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this book too!
ReplyDeleteGoldsboro Books and Cecil Court sound wonderful, I'd love to visit, but here I am on the other side of the world!
Although I live in the US, I will be in England this August, so if I don't win, I will certainly be looking for a copy of this book. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame this book isn't available in the US yet but I'll keep my fingers crossed, it looks lovely (both aesthetically and content wise). It's precisely the sort of Victorian inspired media that I'd love to share with my readers over at http://www.doomfortress.net/. Of course I'd need to read it my self first. Congratulations on the book, I sincerely hope I get to read it, and best of luck to all the hopefuls!
ReplyDeleteI would love a copy of your book! I'm so excited by this offer that I now have to retire to the drawing room for fainting...
ReplyDeleteSamantha Zdaanavich....
It just occurred to me that although your book isn't published in the US (yet - hope that will change) it will be on sale in Canada from July - a lot of my American friends buy British books from Canada.
ReplyDeleteThank you Elkiedee - I hope they do. That would be wonderful!
